Responsible Use

Gaming can involve financial loss. Set time and spending limits before a session, take breaks, do not chase losses, and keep essential expenses separate from discretionary play.

Set limits before you begin

Choose a spending limit and time limit before a session starts. A limit is easier to follow when it is decided before a win, loss, or emotional reaction influences the next decision. Consider using device reminders, alarms, or other tools that make the stopping point visible.

When the limit is reached, stop rather than extending the session to recover a previous loss or continue a winning streak. A limit that changes whenever the result changes is not functioning as a real limit.

Do not chase losses

Trying to recover a previous loss by increasing the next stake or extending the session can increase financial risk. Previous outcomes do not make a future result more certain. A sequence of losses, wins, or near-misses should not be treated as a signal that a particular result is due.

If you notice that the main reason for continuing is to recover money already lost, stop and take a break. Returning later with a pre-set budget is safer than making the next decision under pressure.

Keep essential money separate

Do not use money needed for housing, food, utilities, education, debt payments, medical needs, or other essential expenses. Do not borrow money in order to continue playing. Decide the discretionary amount first and keep it separate from money required for everyday obligations.

Membership levels, promotions, or possible rewards should not be used to justify spending beyond that amount. A benefit can have conditions and does not remove the financial risk of the underlying activity.

Take breaks and watch for loss of control

Long sessions can make it harder to judge time and spending. Take regular breaks away from the screen and check whether you are still following the limit you set. If gaming is interfering with sleep, work, relationships, bills, or other responsibilities, treat that as a reason to stop and seek appropriate help.

Avoid using gaming as a way to solve financial pressure. Game outcomes are uncertain and should not be treated as income, a debt strategy, or a guaranteed way to recover money.

Protect the account and device

Responsible use also includes account security. Keep passwords, one-time verification codes, bank passwords, and card PINs private. Use a screen lock on devices that hold account information and be cautious when using shared devices or public networks.

If an account problem occurs, use the recovery process provided by the service that controls the account. Do not give credentials to someone who says they can bypass the normal recovery process.

Check age, location, and applicable rules

Before using an external service, check the age requirements, territorial restrictions, and rules that apply to your location and the service involved. Eligibility should not be assumed from a brand image or a page that happens to be reachable.

If you are unsure whether a service or activity is available to you, verify the current requirements before creating an account, making a payment, or participating.

Responsible-use checklist

  • Set time and spending limits before a session.
  • Take regular breaks.
  • Stop when the limit is reached.
  • Do not chase losses.
  • Do not borrow money to continue.
  • Keep essential expenses separate.
  • Protect passwords and verification codes.
  • Check the age and location requirements that apply to you.

There is no guaranteed win, risk-free profit, or sure-income strategy. If gaming is causing financial or personal harm, stop and seek appropriate support.
